The Pickled Orange - Hawick

The service was fantastic, and the staff were wonderful. I definitely recommend this restaurant to others. The food was amazing, and the prices offer great value for the money.

The restaurant has a beautiful and cozy atmosphere. The food is excellent, and they were very accommodating with my food sensitivity, creating an outstanding dish of warm salad with roasted root vegetables, feta, and black pudding that was a delightful flavor experience. The quality of the ingredients was consistently high.

The restaurant serves delicious homemade food, and I would highly recommend it. However, the only downside was that during my visit, many people came in hoping to eat, but they were unable to because four tables had been reserved. Unfortunately, by the time we left, those tables remained empty, resulting in a significant loss of business for them.

Always good food. I eat here regularly, well, at least once a month. It's an unpretentious and welcoming restaurant hidden just off the High Street staffed by lovely chatty people. Ruth, the cook, is a first-class caterer who probably makes the best scrambled eggs on the planet! Try the stilton pear salad with bagel; or the traditional Cullen Skink.
