Le Kiosque - Hauts de Bienne

There are not many restaurants in Morez, choice is limited, but I would certainly recommend this one. The locals think so too, the place became very crowded about 8 pm. The service was friendly and efficient, the food was good and hot and the bill a pleasant surprise. Not at all the romantic atmosphere, simply a good place to eat. Sometimes they have special evenings, I had mussels and chips, as did almost everybody else.

I visited with other half, daughter (8) and son (5), in wheelchair due to a broken leg. A wheelchair friendly table was swiftly made available to us, despite no reservation in advance. We had drinks orange juice for the children, kir with Jura wine for me and a beer for the other half. As main course, son had a pizza, daughter a smoked trout platter and me and other half a gourmé sallad with duck in three ways. All was good, although the trout slices were too thick. For desserts, chocolate mousse, waffle with chocolate sauce and a coupe poire helene. All good. For all we paid 70Euros, which we thought was very good value for money. The service was excellent, with cheerful and efficient waiters. When we hesitated what to order for son (they were out of fresh pasta), the waiter chatted with son to find out what he liked and proposed something suitable. Son was thrilled to be treated as a grown up. On top of that, the waiters passing our table had to suffer a wheelchair being rolled in their way occasionally (even in a wheelchair it is difficult to sit still when you are only 5). They did so graciously. Generally, the restaurant has a pizza menue and a general French/local specialties menue. Nothing is spectacular, but it is good and the price is correct. The decoration is modern and cheerful and it is clean. If you are visiting the region and want to try some local food without going to a fancy restaurant, I think that Le Kiosque is perfect.

Pour passer un bon moment et aussi bien manger une cuisine que je qualifierai de bonne brasserie bonne qualité des plats une équipe agréable et a l'écoute je recommande vivement ce restaurant

La carte propose des plats simples, traditionnels et la carte des glaces est bien... je conseille la framboisine...c'est très bon!!!
