Sake Cafe - Hattiesburg

They’re back and better than ever! Got my start here serving back in 2016, and they’ve only gotten better as the years go on. The new interior is beautiful and fits the vibe and it’s still as cozy as ever. I can hardly eat sushi anywhere else because the rolls and nigiri are on point every time! With their huge and diverse menu, from Asian Cuisine to Boiled/Fried Seafood, there’s something for everyone here! Kaitlyn and Haleigh are amazing servers/bartenders. Shout out to Tim and Katrina for revitalizing the business and being among the best restaurants in Hattiesburg!

A small strip mall restaurant that's big on taste, our first dine-in experience with Sake Cafe was wonderful. From our lovely and attentive waitress, Addie, to the ambiance, table settings and food, they really have a unique, quaint eatery. We've ordered from them on Waitr and our food arrived just as fresh, impressive and tasty as our tabletop experience. My order came with a garden salad with ginger dressing...simply fabulous! I love ginger dressing and this one was rich and delicious. My daughter got the beautiful Rocky II Roll--which I didn't get a pic of the roll because my daughter took a bite of it as soon as it reached the table--and I had the Akita Snapper and white rice, with drinks, it rounded out to $34.97. Not too shabby. My snapper was fried with a tempura type coating and sat in a beautiful sweet and savory sauce that was to die for! We are definitely ordering from Sake again and going back as well. It was WORTH IT!

This restaurant is a great spot for a meal, offering delicate flavors at a reasonable price. The Spicy Yellowtail roll is a standout dish, though it’s best to savor it slowly to fully appreciate its nuances; eating it too quickly might mean you miss out on its subtleties. The Tuna Tartare is delicious and is definitely something I would order again. The Salmon Naruto roll was quite refreshing, and I particularly enjoyed the cucumber wrap; however, the accompanying white sauce overshadowed the other flavors. My wife liked the Spicy Yellow Dragon roll, but it featured a large mound of fish flakes on top of a relatively small roll, making it a bit challenging to eat in one bite. The fish flakes overpowered the other flavors in the roll. The staff were friendly and the place was clean. There is ample parking in the area, but larger vehicles may find it difficult to navigate during peak hours.

The Mariposa shrimp, blossom roll sausage, and corn were fantastic! We decided to try something new and were not disappointed. Our waitress, Katilyn, was wonderful and had great recommendations since it was our first time visiting. We will definitely be returning!

I’ve only tried their Tuna Tartare, but it’s absolutely delicious. I’ve had it about 6 or 7 times so far. I haven’t had the chance to dine in yet.
