The Imperial - Hastings

I've had some of the best vegan pizzas here, and they also offer a fantastic selection of craft beers, all of which are vegan since they come from the house brewery, "Brewing Brothers." The atmosphere is always vibrant and bustling, and I’ve never had to wait more than 15 minutes for my meal!

We went out for pizza tonight because we heard they offered vegan cheese, and we were really impressed. They had great options, allowing us to mix and match ingredients to create our own pizzas, all at reasonable prices. We will definitely be returning, as I doubt you'll find better vegan pizza in Hastings!

However, I want to update my review. Recently, I’ve noticed a decline in quality since the original pizza chef left. I’ve had to drop my rating from 4 to 3 stars. While the pizza is still beautiful and there are vegan options available, the consistency has not been great. For instance, one of the pizzas I received was overcooked, and I've found it odd that they charge extra for vegan cheese when many vegan options involve leaving off 2-4 other toppings. Another update from July 2018: the original pizza chef has returned, and I’m happy to say the pizza is back to its fantastic quality! However, they have raised the price for vegan cheese even more, and the menu doesn’t clearly indicate vegan options, so it would be good for them to address that. Overall, we have been enjoying it much more lately, and I’m revising my review from 2017.

The pizzas of the imperial are great. they are a good size and use really delicious toppings. the personal is friendly and the service is always friendly and the pizzas arrive quickly. they serve a good selection of beers (not sure whether they are vegan) and have a great selection of soft drinks (of which some are vegan.) the only small weight I have is that they offer only a vegetarian pizza as standard and calculate an additional £1 for the vegan cheese, although they are not with cheese.

Found this on happy cow after staying at the Bay Tree (vegan B&B) just up the road. Absolutely fantastic! They serve vegan cheese on their pizzas and have great craft beer if that's what you're into. Also worth mentioning that they are dog friendly. We had an amazing time would highly recommend!!!
