State Street Diner - Hastings

We've loved State Street Diner for years. They've maintained the feel and price point with great family diner food options. We are sad to see that it's going, but wish the owner a happy retirement after all his years serving our community!

We love this place. Food is always good, service is efficient and friendly. Great menu with lots of choices.

Food was fabulous. Had the skillet and omelet meals. Coffee was fresh and frequently topped off. Love the staff, they are always attentive, with smiles and a laugh, and ready to take action if there's something happens to go wrong to make it right. Thanks again for being in Hastings, and making it through all the hoops Covid tried to present! It wasn't easy, I'm sure of that! Keep being blessed; you are a blessing to Hastings.

I ordered takeout. I got the steak and eggs but the steak was very dry. I also got the chili in a bowl size, but received a cup. I didn’t look at my food until I returned home. In the food that I did receive, the portions were only half there so I was missing some food. What little food was right, was decent. Lot of money to pay for a mistake in the food. Bit disappointed , but in person service is good.

Stacie was an awesome server. Wentbin during a fairly busy time, initial drinks were just a tad bit slow but considering that I was seated along with 3 other tables in service. Constantly checking on me and asking if things were OK. Even got service as she walked by and asked but was servicing another table, continued on and heard our request. Great job to Stacie
