New Sogo Chinese - Hartselle

Excellent food. And you get plenty of hot fresh food. However staff customer service lacks greatly. Doesn't effect the food so we continue to order take out and we just argue about who has to go in to pick up from the very unfriendly staff.

Our first time here since moving to this delightful town one year ago. Reviews were good, so we thought we'd try it. Definitely NOT sorry! It was delicious. I got the house special chow mein, and my husband ordered chicken with curry sauce... very very good. My husband said it was the best curry he's ever had in a Chinese restaurant, so we made sure the chef knew. Huge portions! I couldn't eat all of it! $23.76 for the whole meal!! Excellent! We'll Definitely be back!

Did a Door Dash order from Sogo. Bought the Chicken Fried Rice and the Chicken with Broccoli. Portion size was nice and the Chicken with Broccoli was flavorful. The Chicken Fried Rice was a disappointment. The serving size was generous as was the chicken in it. How ever the chicken was undercooked, the rice was dried out, and there were only traces of egg, carrots, and onions. I revived it a bit by adding a bit of water and microwaved it in a covered dish.

Sorry but Sogo is a Nogo for us. We ordered 3 different items. Orange chicken, General Tso and beef with broccoli. The beef was almost like a slimy texture, the 2 chicken dishes almost had the same soupy like texture. Neither one you could tell apart just by looking at them. And the best for last....RICE SHOULD NEVER COME CRUNCHY. I mean if you cant have fresh rice with your meal. You do get a few pounds of food when you do order. Unfortunately we would prefer quality over quantity. Just skip this place if you're in town. The 2 stars is because the fortune cookie was good. Had that hint of vanilla.
