Contribuiți la feedbackHave gone to the water sky several times over the years and always had a lovely experience The food today was exceptional from the dim sum menu. Lovely atmosphere, always lovely food Thank you
We ordered a takeaway as a change from our usual go to chinese t/a Quoted delivery time 35-55 mins. Actual time 80 mins. Food badly packed, sauce all over containers. Food very disappointing. Peking duck pancakes inedible, chewy and dry. Sauce like water. Tony has promised a full refund and a 20% discount next time. Next time? Let's see. This place used to be good. What's happened to this restaurant?
I do sympathise with the hospitality industry and the peaks and troughs post Covid. Tonight must have been busy with the rugby semi-final but… after 60 minutes of scheduled delivery delay I had to contact All Eat and then the restaurant, with different answers on the status of the order. Ultimately offered a refund or re-delivery (with some extra spring rolls) that would arrive 2 hours after the original time, getting on 10pm. Food was very nice (and thanks for the Easter midnight spring roll snack) but won’t be in a rush to risk the chaos again. I wish the new ownership good learnings and good luck as I suspect you will need it.
The food was excellent!! Really fresh, hot and tasty. We had ribs, prawn toast, salt and pepper chips and chicken, sweet and sour chicken, Mongolian beef and a half duck with egg fried rice. The portions were small but enough for 2 people which was great for us as their menu states they charge £5 for every unfinished dish. There are two things that they need to improve on which would make my rating a 5* which is service and atmosphere. Service: We were greeted nicely but nothing was explained. We ordered our appetizers and in our minds we were halfway through the order, as we hadn 't ordered mains and the server said 'ok ' and walked away. This is how they work here, you order starters first and your duck and then your mains separately. Which is understandable and a great way to reduce food waste.. but as this wasn 't explained it was actually quite rude in the moment! I also think as it 's all you can eat, they should have kept the prawn crackers coming and asked if we wanted any sides or sauces etc because it didn 't really feel 'all you can eat '. They did ask if we wanted more at the end, but there also wasn 't a check on if the food was to our standard whilst we were eating, which would have given us an opportunity to ask for sauces etc. Atmosphere: The new owners have decorated with fake flowers and neon light strips which are nice enough, but it felt really cold in the restaurant. There wasn 't music playing so we could easily hear the people next to us. They should have music playing and I think they should have sat most people near by so it created a buzz. I 'd also say that as it 's £30+ per head, it 's not a cheap meal and they should upgrade to cloth napkins rather than paper which makes the experience feel cheaper than it is. All in all, we will definitely come here again and I hope others will disregard the negative reviews and the management will up their game to make it 5*.
I first visited this restaurant more than twenty years ago a good menu of tasty dishes, well prepared with quality ingredients. Over the years the experience became less pleasant until a point where we stopped using the venue altogether. New owners and a “change of name” and we thought we would try once again. The visit was awful. There were no redeeming features, the quality and quantity of the food, the service and atmosphere were terrible. If the new owners believe that a cheap looking laminated menu featuring such things as “chips” as a starter will bring back the crowds, I believe they will be very disappointed.
