Afternoon Tea at Swinton Park Hotel

Met a friend at Urban for dinner last Saturday and we were both pleased with pretty much everything.

I really enjoyed this restaurant before sooooo much that I raved about it to my friends and family.

This was one of our 10 restaurants that we tried at the TASTE OF NORTH AUSTIN @ The Domain on Saturday June 10, 2017.

Outstanding taster menu with complementary wines. Service excellent. Dining hall wonderful with views of parkland and deer.

The only good thing about the restaurant was the location and the grandeur of Swinton Park. Although the food was good but we were incredibly let down by the service, scruffy unknowledgeable staff, and the general couldn 't care less attitude which spoilt a rather special birthday celebration. Our bill was calculated wrongly and although this was put right, we waited 30 minutes to get the bill and were left in the dining room (the only diners in there) for well over 40 minutes after our desserts without being asked if we wanted any teas/coffees. Definitely a case of out of sight out of mind . When we asked how the beef was served the response was it comes with potatoes !! Very very disappointed.
