Kyoto Japanese Steakhouse

We ordered chicken and shrimp hibachi, I had the Buddha drink which was tasty, definitely will be ordering it again! Our chef was funny and the food was tasty! Kyoto is a Harrisonburg staple that stays busy!

Enjoyed watching chef prepare dinner and tasted GREAT. In an effort to extend my appreciation for dinner my attempt was multipled because an 18% gratuity had already been applied to the bill. My party included only 5 adults Please beware of added gratuity by simply reviewing your bill completely.

The local hibachi near JMU has a great location and fun staff, but the food itself was not up to hibachi standard. The broth was lukewarm, salad overdressed, meat a bit tough and veggies small and mushy. This was the first time so will try again when in the area. The staff was super friendly and attentive. Worth a visit if you like hibachi.

Went here last year and it was great, however this year it was a great disappointment. 1st, the fried rice was so sweet because the cook placed so much sauce on it that it had to be re cooked. Then last year we had noodles with the meal not this year, we asked for noodles and were charged $14.85 more.! the quality that use to be here is gone!

Disappointed at the end. The PERFECT place to celebrate a birthday! I brought my sister here for her birthday and we sat with another group who was ALSO celebrating a birthday and the chef was amazing, the waitress was amazing! Everything was PERFECT until the end. We got our check and my sister and I had gratuity added to our check. Being in food service ourselves for 30 years, we tend to tip 35 even 40 percent after amazing service, which this experience warranted. After
