Dog Pony Pub - Harrisburg

Staying at the hotel for 1 night. Didn't want to venture out to any of the fast food places near by. I.e. Chili's , 5 guys, Friendly's. Walked into the bar close to 5 pm. Greeted warmly by bartender Kevin. Decided to sit at the bar. Couldn't wait to have an ice cold Yuengling!! Oh it was delicious!! After a nice conversation with Kevin... I asked him what he liked. He gave me many suggestions on the menu. I decided on the chicken fingers. And a house salad. My food arrived and the house salad was huge. Everything fresh and crispy. The chicken fingers were very good. Big strips of chicken breast meat. Breaded perfectly. With honey mustard. All washed down with another Yuengling!! Really great service and a nice cozy place. No need to go anywhere else!!

Great hotel restaurant for grabbing a drink or something to eat. It would be 5-star for me but it closes a bit early. Maybe I need to be less of a night owl.

Don 't. Just don 't. If suggesting Friendly 's across the street behind this place is any hint. Slow service. 3 tables occupied for breakfast and have to beg to get more coffee.

Stayed at the Sheraton for one night. What a dreary hotel that needs a serious facelift. I came to the dog and pony restaurant out of convenience for a couple drinks and that was it. They were super pushy for me to order food but I decided to Uber somewhere instead. It's so dark by the bar area you can't see if your glass is clean or dirty. They were charging me for double Carrie's but I could clearly tell it was short since they weren't measuring. Using your glass to scrape ice out of the ice bin.. the list goes on.

This place is terrible. The only thing good is the people that work there. First, it's only open Friday Sunday breakfast. There is a limited flavorless buffet offered for food. We received free breakfast coupons for Saturday and Sunday and literally turned them back in for Sunday because it was so bad. The staff is trying with limited resources to do the best they can. The Friday dinner buffet was terrible looking, so we opted not to eat there. Just fo yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
