Hamilton's Tavern 1840 - Harpers Ferry

We decided to try Hamilton’s Tavern on a last minute whim. What a great find!! Our hostess/waitress was wonderful. She answered all of our questions, was very attentive, and she even surprised me with a candle on my cheesecake for my birthday. The food was phenomenal. We ate dinner there on Saturday and went back for brunch on Sunday. The polpetta is an amazing must. The sourdough bread that is served with it is lathered with butter and mouthwatering. The tomato bisque was the best I’ve ever had. My husband’s hamburger was thick and even though he got it well done it was extremely juicy. If you have a chance to get their sausage gravy and ginormous biscuit- do it! We cannot wait to go back.

First time in Harpers Ferry and went here on our first night in town. Food was excellent, from the appetizer to the dessert. Waitress was very polite and attentive. We will definitely be going back.

It was just really lovely dining in a lovely atmosphere! Loved the food, loved the decor and loved the owner! The best chicken and dumplings I’ve ever had and the coconut cream pie was to die for! Definitely going back the next time we visit Harpers Ferry!

Amazing food! Warm, friendly and professional service! Manager/owner Anthony is delightful, Jeremiah chef/owner came out and explained everything, his food is outstanding, Amanda and Brooke our servers were professional, knowledgeable and friendly! Thank you to the entire team! We will be back!

Amanda was amazing! The food and atmosphere were absolutely perfect! I highly recommend! We couldn’t have asked for a better meal!
