The Scale House - Hardwick

The 2 inch strip steak comered with sliced thinly peppers and onions and covered with chunks of blue cheese, with chunky mash potatoes and onions and green beans. Fantastic service and great place to gather!

Scallops were absolute perfection. Light, almost fluffy, and sweet. Service was wonderful. Nicole (I believe) took care of our table very well, she was very attentive. The atmosphere was pretty Pleasant, quiet and welcoming. The only thing that was underwhelming were the two strip steaks which were supposed to be boneless, they were dry and slightly overcooked to our liking. The broccoli was phenomenal. Mashed potatoes were bland and chunky.

Frequently like trying new restaurants in Vt, as I am a native. Well, I must say this place is definitely on the lower end of the list of places I've been, and here is just a few reasons why. Not only did it take forever we almost left after 30 mins of sitting waiting-mins you there may have been one other customer, maybe) for my sister and I to actually have a waitress come take our order, but the food was less than unsatisfying.. and it wasn't priced that well either. Especially for the quality. We got Caesar salads, with the smallest portion/side of dressing almost the same quality of domino's) . And I tried some calamari, which also unfortunately wasn't that great.. soggy, and the sauce they paired with it was pretty awful :

Excellent food and our waitress was fantastic. Very relaxed atmosphere.

If I was allowed to give more than 5 stars, I would. I'd give 5 stars to the food and 10 stars to the employees. The food was outstanding! I had the lamb and the blueberry venison. It was incredible!! Our server, Kat, is delightful! She made the experience something to remember. Thank you so much
