Hunters Café Bar Restaurant

Really like hunters as a venue. Staff were polite and generally helpful. Had a full english, which on the whole was good. Toast very white. (Underdone). But staff rectified quickly.. Eggs on the underdone side also. Food not very warm. One very big moan. The toilet was very dirty. The seat, and inside and outside of the toilet. Also, the toilet doors looked very dirty and definately needed a good wash with soap disinfectant.

I'm sorry to say that I will not be back...having written a positive review with the previous owners...I felt necessary to provide an updated review...at 830 in the morning it was clear that the cleaning from the day before had not been done, sticky table,food underneath, dust and crumbs on a condiment side board and bitter tasting coffee with a dirty spoon...the new menu is dire and unappealing... why fix what wasn't broken?...total 360 on standards,appeal and ambience....having been in on numerous occasions regularly over the last 2 years..I'm afraid my custom has been lost and I will not be recommending.

Really disappointed we used to visit Hunters regularly for a good, local cooked breakfast. I've made the unfortunate mistake of recommending this place twice since the establishment changed management on both occasions, everyone around the table had some sort of issue with their food, and I've been left feeling pretty embarrassed for suggesting the venue. Quality of food has plummeted, prices have skyrocketed, staff desperately in need of some customer service training. Really hope they sort out their teething problems before their reputation goes down the toilet.

Absolutely terrible. Arrived at 08:30 and sat down at a table. To then be told (only when I ordered) that this area was ‘only for people ordering food’ and that my clients and I, should move. Which we duly did… to a table which was dirty with food pieces everywhere, on the floor and surrounding tables the area had clearly not been cleaned, disgusting. I then went to the toilet which had also clearly not been cleaned either. I then ordered two large lattes and a large cappuccino £9.00. An hour later I ordered the same again £9.30! What a shambles and I wish we’d left earlier. We have been going to hunters for a number of years for our monthly meeting and under the previous ownership it was superb, with a welcoming team, great menu options and a clean environment. I will never set foot in here again and I wish them the best of luck with their next good hygiene inspection… Very poor indeed.

Arranged a wake in there private room. Perfect for small gathering of up to 50 people. Ordered a buffet for 25 people but 40 came back. They were quick to keep the buffet topped up. Nothing was too much trouble. The room leads onto a small semi covered area . I had the menu option 1 which was freshly prepared.
