Gallones Ice Cream - Harborough

I recently held my daughter's 7th birthday party at this restaurant and it was absolutely amazing! There were plenty of delicious treats and fun games that kept everyone smiling and laughing. Our host was wonderful and managed to keep 7 girls entertained throughout the party. The 2 hours flew by and all the girls were sad to leave. My only regret was not indulging in one of the tempting ice cream desserts! Overall, it was a fantastic experience and my daughter was beyond thrilled.

Unfortunately, this restaurant was not very accommodating for individuals with autism. The line was extremely long with only one person serving customers. I kindly asked if my son, who struggles with waiting for long periods of time, could be served sooner (we were just ordering a milkshake). I was told that the line would move quicker as another staff member would start serving, but I still waited 20 minutes to be served. The milkshake was good, but it was quite pricey at £5.50. I may try visiting again during a less busy time. It would be helpful if there was more awareness of the challenges individuals with autism face when waiting in long queues. Both myself and the person behind me expected better in this situation.

The ice cream at this restaurant is delicious with a wide range of toppings to choose from, including sauces, smarties, and sprinkles. I tried the cherry flavor with cherry sauce and it was delicious. The price is a bit high at £3.75 for a single scoop, but the portion size is generous. The tables were a bit sticky and there were leftover pots and dishes from previous customers still on many of them. I would recommend getting your ice cream to go rather than eating in. The restaurant does have a toilet available for customers.

Lovely ice cream, can’t fault it! Price was quite high for what you got though. Place itself was spacious and great for families!

Disappointed! Family visit, the service was incredibly slow especially for a Saturday afternoon. My pancake was under cooked we had to chance our drinks. Won’t be recommending it anytime soon.
