Ashanti Cafe - Hanover

Called in with family for coffee and cake. The coffee was average as was the cake, but this place charges as though it is far better.Don't think the quality is any better than Tim's down the road

Ashanti has excellent coffee. So good, in fact, that several co-workers buy bags that we can brew at work. The owners have done a FANTASTIC job at restoring the building, and the atmosphere is very pleasant and inviting. The only big problem is the price...everything seems a tad expensive for what you are getting.

A bit pricy, but excellent, tasty and huge portions and always fresh!Try out the Montreal style bagels, baked in house.....soft and very good when toasted and cream cheese added. Desserts, sandwiches, exceptional coffee, and cold drinks, make this a cozy and place to meet up with friends or significant other. Spotless and always clean too!

I really like the ambience to Ashanti Cafe. It really is a nice place to meet a friend, and it is often much quieter than a busy place like Tim Hortons. They have specialty coffees and teas, plus many tasty treats. It really is a great addition to Hanover's downtown core and is worth the visit. Yes, they are a little slow, and if there is a line-up, patience is a virtue, but it is worth the wait. If you are in a rush, this may not be the best place to get a refreshing beverage if their is a line-up. That really is Ashanti's only downside. Thanks for this gem of a coffee shop.

Cute place and friendly staff. Good coffee and nice place to have a (me)time with a treat. The only problem is finding a parking. I would love to stop and grab a coffee in the morning on my way to work but parking is always a problem so thats not an option. Still love to visit on my day off.
