Oriental Express - Hanover

The food was fantastic and delivered straight to my hotel, still hot and delicious. The shrimp dish was packed with large shrimp, not the tiny ones, which made it very satisfying. The crab Rangoon was hot and crispy, filled with smooth cream cheese, and absolutely delightful. I also loved the sweet and sour pork; they used substantial pieces, not leftovers, which made all the difference. Highly recommended!

Even though they mixed up my husband's order—he wanted Bourbon chicken but ended up with General Tso's—I still give them 5 stars. The taste, quality, and freshness were all outstanding! If you're like my husband and prefer your chicken not to be crispy, just let them know, as they tend to prepare it beautifully crispy. I usually don't ask for modifications unless I remember to, and even then, it never seems to be quite the right level of crispiness for me. I thought the small place on Kinderstraße was my favorite in Anne Arundel County, but this place has definitely surpassed it! I do have a fondness for the family at my original favorite, so I’ll always cherish that, but I could see that changing once I become a regular here. Trust me, I'm still a loyal customer of my first favorite, but I’m now happily split between the two!

As a fan of Chinese cuisine, I thoroughly enjoyed the General Tso's Dinner Combo, which came with roasted rice and egg drop soup. Every component of the meal was spot on. The chicken had a nice brown color and was perfectly cooked, with just the right amount of spices—no chewiness or gumminess like you often find elsewhere. The rice was delicious, and the soup was exactly what I expected. Overall, I give it a 5-star rating!

I ordered their version of Trio Delight and a spring roll. The main dish, with it is roasted rice, was very good: not as spicy as some and with just a little more liquid than most. There was a lot of broccoli and a lot of meat. The water chestnuts remained crispy until the end. As usual with this dish, the other vegetables gave their taste of the sauce.
