I was staying near the airport as I had an early flight but thought I'd make the effort to travel to a restaurant I had high hopes for and I wasn't disappointed. I had the set menu without soup, the southern style mixed brown rice noodle and black sesame traditional dessert. All was fantastic. From the perfectly cooked brown rice to the seaweed wrapped tofu whose softness and sea flavour from the seaweed reminded me of unagi which I loved in my pre vegan days. The salad was salty and bitter, had good crunch from peanuts and came with a sweet dressing that had some heat to it that was to die for. The sesame dessert was a little cloying but I liked it, not too sweet. Overall a great meal. I ordered a tonne and left feeling satisfied but not bloated, one of the benefits of a vegan lifestyle. Meal came to about £5.30 which is ridiculous.
We were warmly welcomed. Everything was cooked with love and care. I'm also confident to say that the spring rolls might be among the best in Vietnam.
If I was in Hà Nội now, I would return to this place immediately. I believe the staff worker is a devoted Buddhist nun (bhikkhunī : I noticed she was wearing her gray robe when we interacted. I appreciated that she made every dish I ordered. The pineapple cakes here were wonderful to try, I still remember them, 2 years later after my visit here. Yes, I waited about 20 minutes for my food to arrive at my table: some people will see this as a weak point, but I did not have that view. This is not a quick-service restaurant: this is a place to take your time and enjoy conversation as your food is being prepared for you. During the wait for my food, I knew that the chef was preparing the food with a lot of care: remembering this was helpful.
If I were in h ni now, I would return to this place immediately. I think the employee is a dedicated Buddhist nonne (bhikkhun, I noticed that she wore her gray robe when we interacted. I appreciate that she made every court I ordered. the pineapple cakes here were wonderful to try, I still remember her, 2 years later after my visit here. Yes, I waited approx. 20 minutes on my eating to come to my table: some people will see it as a weak point, but I didn't have this look. this is not a fast service restaurant: this is a place to take their time and enjoy entertainment, as you will eat for them. during waiting for my eating I knew that the cook prepared the food with a lot of care: remember that this was helpful.
We were the only people in the restaurant as it was early and so it was like a private cook! everything was cooked by the beautiful owner of land on as she could taste it was healthy and made with love.
