This place is really local. they have a lot of different local sweet dishes and tee, with beans, kochi, kokosmilch, tapioca pearls and more. they do not speak English so they only show up on the menu or copy someone else really delicious and cheap!
The menu has an English translation. I still didn’t really understand it tho. So I had what everyone else seemed to have. A drink with mung bean, tapioca cake and something else in a brownish liquid with ice cubes. A lot of different textures but no distinct flavour other than sweet.
We came for early breakfast but the translations we found in this profile are for ingredients, they do not match the dishes on the menu. Since nobody around us was having a dessert we could point at, we just pointed at red beans and tapioca balls (with coconut meat inside) and he put them together in a cup. Then we pointed at the mochi balls (brown sugar filling) and the thick coconut milk and he put them together too, looking at us as if we were a bit crazy hahaha. The guy was very patient with us, since we do not speak any Vietnamese but there was no dairy or egg so the language barrier did not matter. It all felt very authentic, and I love that they do not serve in disposable plastic ware. We paid 25,000 dong, cheaper than a cup of coffee in a nice cafe!
I went here and got some of everything, another customer spoke good English and helped me order which was lucky, but I could’ve got by by pointing and nodding, they were very friendly. I like sweet red beans and mochi and it reminded me of that. It was very tasty
