Bistrorante Salentino - Hannover

Excellent!! After a long day at the fair it was a pleasure to enjoy the excellent food and good service in this restaurant, recommended by fellow Yelpers! Food served with a smile always taste better.

The restaurant is on the ground floor of an apartment building, on the corner of a block of more or less boring buildings. It is comparatively small, but has a few tables on the patio. I had a tortellini soup for a starter, which was excellent, though a little less olive oil would have done the soup good. The bread that came with it (and the main course, too) was just fresh and excellent. For my main course I had one of the changing specials of handmade, fresh pasta with pesto. It tasted excellent, the pasta had the perfect texture and the right temperature. A colleague of mine had a pizza with Italian salami, he said it was downright perfect. The service was friendly, quick and a little chattybut very personable. And the prices were absolutely reasonable.

Relaxed friendly restaurant with great food and service. Was staying at the Hotel Alpha opposite so popped in here as it looked nice from the outside. We seemed to be the only British customers and were given an English menu and served by a lovely waitress who spoke English perfectly. Charming.

Small but friendly place to eat. A good selection of dishes, and a menu written in English is available. I had the steak in pepper source. Lovely piece of steak, cooked perfectly. For my taste the sauce was a little to salty, but that's just a personal comment, not a criticism.

Cosy atmosphere and great food! We selected several dishes for "special offer/chef's recomendation" and all were very tasty. Staff was very helpful, friendly and they provided great service. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food, would definitely recommend it.
