We had a lovely meal at Chipper's during our most recent trip to Maine. We called ahead to make a reservation, which is required. We tried to pop in last year and remembered how great the food smelled. Glad we made the point to go back. They are only open from Wednesday thru Saturday. Food was great. I had panko encrusted haddock and hubby loved his lobster Alfredo. Friendly service and cute atmosphere. Definitely worth the trip!
Extremely nice and hard working waitress. You can tell when someone takes pride in their work, our waitress was very friendly and made it a personal experience discussing the different dishes. She was one of two waitresses and was constantly busy and moving. The food was EXCELLENT, the best meal I have had in a long time and the family thought so as well.Thank you for the hard work and amazing food.
Took over 1 hour to get any food. Ordered wine didn't come til after our entrees came. Food was mediocre in Maine, they should know how to cook lobster properly. We went due to all the positive reviews. What a disappointment! Sorry we wasted 2 hours of our lives there. We'd never go back.
Prime Rib was tougher than what you would usually expect at a nice restaurant. Scallops were overcooked. Crab stuffing had too much breading and not enough crab. Seafood Bisque was not thick and creamy. It was mostly potatoes and watery but had good flavor. Bleu Cheese salad dressing was excellent but not enough greens in salad. One couple brought their screaming kid with them and this spoiled the ambiance for all the adults trying to enjoy an upscale dining evening. Birthday celebration was less than enjoyable all around. MacDonald's Quarter Pounder would have been better.
