Visit to the castle and magnificent park of Maintenon, Rambouillet, Chartres. Food drinks: Everything is homemade. Short circuit and so good! Noteworthy details: Olympian calm.

One hour from the frenzy of Paris nestles this little haven of peace that allowed us to stop, breathe and recharge our batteries. I had the opportunity to stay at the Colombier des Hanches, and it was a simply charming experience. Nestled in a picturesque setting in the heart of the Yvelines, this historic dovecote is a real architectural gem. The warm and friendly welcome from the staff made my stay even more enjoyable. The interior of the dovecote is beautifully appointed, offering an authentic insight into French rural life of yesteryear. The place is impeccably maintained. The surroundings are equally captivating, with beautiful scenery and charming walking paths. I particularly appreciated the tranquility of the place, which makes it a perfect escape from the urban hustle and bustle.
