Schoop's Hamburgers - Hammond

This place is an amazing burger spot just a short drive off the highway, making it easily accessible. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, filled with friendly vibes and character. Don’t let the plain exterior fool you—inside, the decor is bursting with Route 66 nostalgia and classic Americana. But the star of the show is definitely the burgers and fries: cooked to perfection and incredibly tasty. There’s a wide selection of burgers, along with some fast food staples, soups, salads, and sides. I can't recommend Schoops enough—it's the perfect place to take a break from the traffic and enjoy some delicious food!

I tried a smash hamburger for the first time, and I have to say, it was one of the best burgers I've ever had. The meat was juicy and cooked perfectly, with a wonderfully fresh and delicious flavor. All the additional ingredients enhanced the taste even further. The restaurant was clean and well-organized, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Visited today! Great place. Love the style. Good food. Burgers was great. Ice cream too. Pricey but the quality is great. Fresh meat not your typical burger. Amazing fries very fresh and crispy. Fast service and soda excellent. You will noticed is not your typical burger place. Thank you for the experience.

One of the best Schoops I've been to. Our waitress was lovely, place was very clean, we got our food fast and it was delicious. Atmosphere was spot on if you like 50's diners and old movie stars.

I've never had a bad meal at Schoop's, so I’m adding this location to my list of favorites. The restaurant has a lot of retro décor from the 50s and 60s. As usual, the service was excellent. And the food? It’s classic Schoop’s – they have great burgers and amazing onion rings. This location also offers tater tots, which I’m not sure all of them do. I usually don’t even need to look at the menu. Let’s support this place – stop by for a Mickey and a malt. And of course, be sure to tip your server generously!
