Breakfast at this hotel restaurant was comped with my room because of a corporate discount with IHG. With the quality/flavor of the breakfast buffet I would never pay $12.99 for it. It is dressed up about 30% over that of any other IHG free breakfast. Cheesy grits just had cheese sprinkled on top with not a speck of salt or pepper. Mediocre at best for the price.
The drink and food was top notch, friendly bar tender, going to return for more good food and spirits!
The breakfast was very good Very busy short staff. The waitress in the breakfast area was very upset. She said she was too busy to wait on us. The team was leaving so we sat anyway. Took long for her to wait on us. But after, she was very nice.
Close as a matter of fact within the hotel there's one star. The service or the bartender waitress accounts for the second star outstanding. This is my second night here will be here for 10 nights. The first night I ordered the burger sliders. Yes I asked for medium rare. Nope didn't happen. Can you say dry and chewy? I figured they are small and thin. It is what it is. Second night I ordered the porkchop medium with a dinner salad blue cheese crumbles and Italian dressing on the side. After about 20 minutes I did have to ask is my Salad ready? A few minutes later she brought me salad she brought my salad 3 little 1 2 x 1 2 x 1 4 slices of blue cheese no crumbles and two packets of Ken's brand Fat free Italian dressing. Really I didn't asked for fat free. Oh well. Before I could tear open the pre purchased packet of fat free Italian dressing here comes the entree the porkchop and mashed potatoes. After I finished the evendently we think you need calorie reduced salad I cut into the porkchop. what a surprise. It came out just like the slider burgers I had the day before. Oh sooo dry and chewy. I did send it back after about 10 minutes there was another plate with a second porkchop. Sad the center was not dry and chewy but was cold. Yes can you say rare blue cold. If you don't really care about how your meal is prepared and just want something where you don't have to leave the hotel then this is the place for you. Years ago when dining at a Holiday Inn you could expect a meal by a chef . Not a 4 star chef, but someone that at least went to a credited culinary school college. I think today most of the people that work in kitchens in Holiday Inn's are nothing more then someone that can push the buttons on the microwave to defrost the frozen whatever they receive from god only knows where. Bon appetit..
