Contribuiți la feedbackToday, my boyfriend and I decided to grab subs from Crosby's in Hamlin. He ordered a steak sub with bacon, but when we got home, there was no bacon on it. We returned about an hour later, thinking they would simply make a fresh sub since it was a hot item. Instead, the woman offered him a box of cooked bacon to add himself. I understand the precautions due to COVID, but I feel like they should have prepared a new sub. Eventually, he went back when a different person was working, and they made a new sub without any hesitation. We're not completely ruling out going back, but it was still a bit frustrating.
The food is excellent, although it sometimes sits in the warmer for up to four hours before being discarded. The pizza is truly delicious, especially when you call ahead to order! Customer service is decent, but the bathroom could use a little more cleanliness. It would be great if the pass-through window was used more often; it seems like it would really improve the experience, especially for gas payments and tobacco product purchases.

About an hour later, we returned to the restaurant, assuming they would just make a fresh sub since it's meant to be served hot. To our surprise, the staff member simply made the bacon separately and gave it to him in a box, leaving him to add it himself. I understand the precautions due to COVID-19, but I really think they should have made a new sub. Eventually, my boyfriend went back after that person had left, and whoever was working at that time kindly prepared a new sub without any questions. We're not saying we won't return, but it was a bit frustrating.
When there's a sign on the door stating that New York State law requires masks and that you must wear one or risk being asked to leave, you'd expect the staff to be following the rules, right? Unfortunately, that wasn't the case during my visit. One employee wasn't wearing a mask at all, while another had his mask on but it wasn't covering his nose or mouth. I understand that they're behind plexiglass, but that doesn't eliminate the risk of COVID germs for any of us. Additionally, the cashier who assisted me seemed unfamiliar with the products offered at the store. I'm not sure if he was new, but it was quite frustrating when I requested a specific item and received the wrong one. I even had to explain to him how to differentiate between different types of cigarettes!
