Jackson's Emporium - Hamilton

The owners were truly lovely, and I enjoyed the draft beer, ham soup, and chili con carne—both dishes were delicious. The decor is very unique, and I absolutely loved the log fire!

The food was fresh, and most of the menu items were gluten-free. The service was prompt.

I tried the curried sausages, which were rather bland but still okay to eat. Unfortunately, the spaghetti seemed to be over-microwaved and was inedible. On a positive note, the café had a quirky and interesting atmosphere. It's just a pity that the food didn't match the vibe.

Disappointing experience. Curried sausages needed a little more flavour and a lot more sausages.

Stopped for a late lunch here and ordered the spaghetti bolognese. It was clearly reheated in the microwave including the pasta. The pasta on the edge of the plate was dried out to the point of being crispy! The bolognese sauce was watery and bland. Couldn’t actually force myself to eat it.Shame as the place was quite charming and has the potential to be a great stop!
