Great menu with exceedingly healthy and Deliscious options. Beautifully presented with colour and flavor jumping off the plates.

The concept is great at Apothecary, and quite unique in Newcastle. Simple but delicious and very nourishing vegan food, locally sourced and presented very well. The kombucha is the best I have tried in Newcastle - worth a visit just for that!! You leave feeling very nourished and satisfied, definitely worth a try.

Great space, delicious chai BUT seriously the music...loud, and at times almost heavy. Some patrons couldn'teven hear one another and were forced to sit outside ans still struggled. It's not a rave party - it should be a space to eat good food and enjoy a nourishing experience not damage your hearing and your sanity.

This place really surprised me. My wife and I would come here often when we rented a place close by years ago. The menu has COMPLETELY changed which initially I was bummed about as I had planned to get the old "scrambled eggs and bacon on toast" that I always loved from this cool little hang out. The new menu didn't win me over at the start as it was basically entirely vegan! And I'm a total carnivore! But as soon as I tried it I could not put my fork down! Nothing short of AMAZING! Fresh beans in paprika and spices, the most incredible pumpkin baked in a herb and garlic type paste, cherry tomato mozzarella frittata and an amazing type of fermented rice slaw! You can't knock it till you try it! It's a type of food that your body screams for. It had me feeling on top of the world all day. The owner and Chef Benny had poured his heart and soul into this little business and it shows. He challenges you with his food to "think outside the square" it's total health food based around what the human body needs.... good gut bacteria and loads of nutrition! Almost all of Benny's ingredients are sourced locally when possible based on seasonal availability. It's daring, different fresh and **** delicious!

A rare find indeed, quality vegetarian food in a modern and yet historically significant surroundings. Exceptional food, we didn’t miss meat at all! Great coffee, friendly helpful staff, house made bread (including gluten free) and house made butter as well!! Don’t miss this place, it is fabulous!
