Skalkaho Steak House - Hamilton

I don't usually write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience at this restaurant. It's a family-run establishment where the dad and mom, both in their 80s, handle the cooking, while their daughter takes care of the tables, and even their great-granddaughter lends a hand. We enjoyed the best steak we've had in a long time. As vacationers from Florida, we've met some of the kindest people in Montana. If you're traveling through this area, be sure to make a reservation and give this restaurant a try!

Thank goodness for Google! I wouldn’t have discovered this hidden gem otherwise. The food was absolutely delicious! My husband ordered the New York strip steak while I had the trout, and both were fantastic. We also enjoyed the salad bar. The highlight of the meal was definitely the huckleberry cheesecake—it was outstanding! The prices are quite reasonable too. If we're ever in the area again, we will definitely return!

This is a very intriguing spot with a bit of an eclectic vibe. It's located a bit outside of Hamilton, but the food is delicious, and the service provided by Dot was outstanding. We also had the pleasure of meeting some wonderful people there. We look forward to returning on future trips.

Love this place. Love the food, atmosphere and the service. Great place for the family.
