Di Maggio's - Hamilton

So after visiting Di Maggio's in Hamilton with my wife and kids we were totally astounded that my daughters goats cheese salad had a living insect in it, clearly not what we ordered or would expect from any restaurant, i brought this to the attention of the waiter who quickly removed the dish from the table and took it back to the kitchen, after a few minutes the general manager came out very apologetic and could not believe what she had seen and served my year old daughter. She took down our details and said someone would be in contact with us! but clearly this is much more important to myself and my family than it is to Di Maggio's head office as I thought they would have acted upon this with some kind of urgency but to our surprise they have not contacted us. So I've taken this upon myself to make as many people aware via all possible means, social media etc etc as they clearly don't cars for food hygiene or customer satisfaction or the would have been in touch by now.

Tasty Italian food and a soft play area for the little ones! It's a regular feature of our dinners out. Excellent and friendly staff.

Decent food, good service and kids get to play in soft play area. Nice family restaurant.

I booked here for a family members birthday. We has booked in advance but despite this our table was not set for of us and we had to wait while it was shuffled around. Service really varied from a quite friendly older man to a quite gruff middle aged man who was not very welcoming at all. The general atmosphere was lacking but overall the food was tasty and well presented. I would maybe return for a quick lunch trip but I definitely won't return for any celebrations or special occasions.

The staff here at the restaurant in Hamilton would not stop staring at me as I ate my pizza, they made me feel very uncomfortable and self conscious, never mind the disgrace of the Pizza I could find better out a a supermarket. I will not be back.
