The Works Craft Burgers Beer - Hamilton

The food was good. Service was a bit slow but the wait staff was nice and very helpful. The dining room could use a good cleaning. It was very dusty. The hanging lamps looked like they hadn't been dusted in a while. The decorative fencing between the tables had a lot of dust and hair hanging off them. Other than the lack of cleaning, the experience was decent, but a bit pricey. It cost me $100 for two burgers, one appetizers and a couple of non alcoholic drinks, including tax and tip.

I just don 't understand how one can rationally pay $24 for a mediocre burger that comes with average cheese and barley anything else including the lack of any condiments including, ketchup, onion, lettuce and or mayo and walk away content . I 'm sure not all of the items are this disappointing but damb, what a rip off

Had good food here on previous visits but the Monday we visited for a birthday dinner 7 of us absolutely the worst food I have ever been served in a restaurant and the prices are gourmet but the burgers were all burnt to a crisp and tasted like charcoal was hungry after the 2 hours it took to get the main meal. Appetizers were decent.

Wasn't sure how this was going to be but it was great. Yes it's a $20.00 burger but it isn't just a cheese burger. I myself had their Elk burger which was cooked perfectly and tasted even better. Our waitress Hunter was honestly probably one of the best waitresses I have had in a long time. She was sure to keep tabs on our table but not be a pester. Also was able to handle comments that probably shouldn't have been made in the first place with grace. Just all around a great time will be sure to go back.

I don't usually write negative comments about restaurants or places I go to, I always try to write or stay with the positive but this time I won't resist and I do it more so that people think well before going to this place. To begin with, everything started badly from the moment I opened the door for a young man who was there from the beginning, it seemed uncomfortable as if he was new or did not want to be there, we were 8 people and sat at a table of 6, I went to tell him to please move us to another table, he signaled to me that he was on the phone and that she was busy, he began to walk through the kitchen when he finally passed us to the table of 8 and until then I saw her again, she did not ask us about the drinks or bring us a children's menu, I had to call a waiter after 20 min, yes, 20 because nobody paid attention to us and the place was not full, the case and in order not to make this review longer, they took our order, it took more than 45 min, I was inviting my relatives and in one of the salads a piece of plastic came out OMG and when we told the waiter (after calling him for about 15 min) he said: ohh sorry in the end they didn't charge for the salad NO WHAT KIND. The tables and chairs are all sticky, the salt and pepper shakers never work. No, nor do I continue, what a bad and embarrassing experience. And I think it is a lack of respect for customers, they do not see the pleasure of serving or attending or enjoying the work and that here in Canada is very strange. Canada is a beautiful country but above all its warm and friendly people always with a smile and willing to help.
