The ribs were cooked perfectly, tender and falling off the bone. My wife tried the wings for the first time and loved them. She thoroughly enjoyed her meal.
We enjoyed a wonderful Mother's Day lunch at the restaurant. The service was friendly and efficient. We are always satisfied whenever we dine here.
Swiss chalet is one of my favourite places to stop into when I need a quick, health, sit down meal. We started out telling the hostess that we wanted a table for two. She almost seemed confused by this request. It took her about 10 mins to seat us, without even leaving her post or anyone ahead of us. After sitting for about 20 mins, we were starting to get antsy as no one had even come over to take a drink order. 5 mins after we looked around (3 ladies were just walking around watering plants, wiping tables etc), it was not very busy, a waitress (I won't say the name). Came over and introduced herself. She then tool our order but had to repeat my order 4 times as she thought I ordered hot chicken sandwich instead of half chicken dinner. Our food and water then came about 15/mins later at the same time. All of this while the family behind us had chicken that was uncooked properly and their fries were raw. I don't like to complain as the food was tastey but with this service we were not impressed.
Chicken was uncooked - **** chicken by the bone. When I showed the waitress she offered to give us another piece to take home, we said no. We ordered desert (coconut cream pie), waitress asked if we wanted it a no charge. She asked us, Of course we're going to say yes. All out of cream pie. Didn't offer anything else.Won't be returning, 2 of 4 chicken breasts were well cooked.
Had dinner, the food was excellent and service was also very good but when it came time for desert my daughter asked if she could have a small bowl of ice cream and was told that the policy for a small bowl of ice was for children and offered on the children's menu. Now I would think that as a paying customer I should be able to get a small bowl of ice cream instead of being told by the waitress that she would have to check with her manager as to whether we could have the ice cream......Needless we left without being served the ice cream. This is not customer friendly and if this is Swiss Chalet's policy then I will go somewhere where I can order what I want.
