Sagarmatha Curry Palace Authentic Indian Nepalese Cuisine

I had dinner here with my brother, and I can confidently say it's the best Indian restaurant in Hamilton. You really have to check it out! Skip the Diplomat above and head straight here. This place is amazing!

I also tried the coconut curry with chicken and was let down to find only six small cubes of chicken floating in a very thin sauce. The flavor was decent, but it was much sweeter than what I usually expect from Indian food. I’m really frustrated—I’m torn between wanting to scream or cry. I will definitely not be ordering from this place again and will stick to Masala Grill, which is fantastic and provides portion sizes that are worth the money. I feel like I paid a premium for something that should have cost around $10. Maybe ordering later in the evening meant I got leftovers, but that’s still not an excuse. I’m just really upset!

We visited the restaurant for a late lunch and ordered chai, samosa chaat, naan, Madras fish curry, and Tama boodi. Everything was freshly made and delicious, with perfectly balanced flavors. The food was served promptly, and we really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere.

We had a wonderful dinner at Sagarmatha! We ordered fish pakora, naan, a fish curry, and chicken korma. Every dish was packed with flavor—maybe even a bit too intense at times. For example, the korma was quite sweet, and the fish curry (I can’t quite remember which one we chose) had a strong kick. However, it complemented the naan perfectly, and honestly, having so much flavor is much better than bland food. The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were reasonable. Our waitress was friendly as well. Although our food took a bit longer to arrive, the restaurant was nearly full, so that was understandable. They also have a wide range of vegetarian and vegan options available!
