My-thai - Hamilton

Decided to support a local restaurant while COVID19. Like their food, it is usually good. However, to pick up dinner at the door and literally ask someone for a tip and basically make you feel bad if you don't. Here's my answer. Very uncool.

My husband and I have often gedimated at My Thai Ancaster and we always enjoy the meal. We have our favorite dishes and usually get the same every time! Since the pandemic we have also taken a few times, but our order last night (Friday, 24. April) was not on the quality (taste, freshness, taste) we have always experienced. Beef in Thai basil was also extremely 'tough' I gave the restaurant a good rating, as I hope this is a unique experience.

We have ordered and eaten many times, including a Christmas celebration on My Thai and the food was always excellent. Ordered our usual meal for departure including Pad Thai and it was terrible. There are no thick noodles anymore, but the thinst noodles I've ever seen. It was like eating a **** out of a can. I can't believe they serve now. We won't order from here again.

I ordered to take out, asked for extra mild (no spices) and they gave me spicy pad Thai. The food was also very dry and simple. Do not order the pad Thai

We have visited My Thai's Ancaster multiple times, both dining in and ordering takeout. Last night, we ordered 7 dishes for a party of 3 at home. The food was tasty, but we have noticed a decrease in portion size over the years. Even though we are not big eaters, we still had some leftovers. However, the total cost of over $100 including taxes and tip was a concern due to the smaller portions. The cashew shrimp dish had very few shrimp and mainly consisted of large pieces of orange, which was disappointing. Compared to other Thai restaurants, the dishes were small and seemed to contain cheaper ingredients with little meat. The value for the money was not the same as other restaurants, and we felt that the prices were inflated for the quantity and quality of the food. Overall, we were disappointed and felt somewhat cheated.
