The sandwiches are decent. Problem with owner..He stands at front and one can sense waves of hostility coming from him. Today they had problems with cash registers I had asked for receipt) He said system down..ok..when I suggested that all he had to do was to apologize for inconvenience to customers he suggested strongly) that I leave. As I a had paid for food and he was the one being hostile, I refused. Be aware you may run into that situation..best not to speak to him

I’ve been going to this place for years on occasions. While the food is somewhat decent, I can’t say the same for the service. The older employees don’t have manner or customer service skill. Today I got an ice coffee a sandwich. The coffee is a quarter short and the bacon is so crumbly dry. When the coffee was served, a straw was already inserted. Covid is over but it isn’t a good idea to do that. Other coffee shops have a straw stand.

My wife and I are seniors, we have a small “Service Dog” that comes with us. As my wife is completely blind in one eye, and she always keeps the dog contained (tied in on a leash) in a dog stroller (well expressed) as a Service Dog with all the badges and tags, plus all paper work if required by a physician. We usually frequent this Coffee Shop, as we walk the mall in Jackson Square. The coffee is always excellent, as the wide assortment of things to eat here. One day I had a Dr. appointment, I told my wife I’d meet her at Country Style (she was leaving from our place) 5 minutes away. I didn’t order anything on entry, as I had to go to the Doctors appointment. My wife arrived and sat at the table I was at. We we’re just discussing, to meet back here (at Country Style) after my appointment. As my wife who usually gets at least a coffee was looking at the board. I was just about to leave and I asked my wife to ask the young lady behind the counter what time they closed. And a “bull” come storming out from the back, and YELLED “if you’re not buying anything, get out”. Is this anyway to treat a REGULAR customer? My wife went back twice to talk to him (I guess the manager) and he wouldn’t even come out (he has cameras). I will NEVER go to this shop again. I’m Caucasian, should I pull the “race card”. I love this place all the food is so fresh the servers cashiers whoever are always so polite I will never say anything bad
