Anchor Bar - Hamilton

Great lunch on Saturday July 22 2017. Food was great and service was excellent. Such a friendly young lady and she was very attentive and accomodating. Cool ambiance. Highly recommend for a casual dining experience. Right beside the Sheraton Hamilton Hotel and upstairs is Yuk Yuks. Had kids with us so could not attend the comedy show.

Went for lunch with my husband and daughter. Service was friendly but forgetful, we didn't get everything we ordered and then what we didn't get showed on our receipt. The food took a long time to come out. Mt daughter had Mac n cheese, it was literally KD out of a box for 4.99. My husband had a Ruben sandwich...with no sauerkraut. My meal was bland, the chicken wings were good. Overall we spend $60 on KD box Mac n cheese, 1 beer, 1 small chocolate milk, a French onion soup, 6 wings and a Ruben sandwich. Not worth the $$$at all! Will not be recommending this place unfortunately.

Recreating any epic landmark spot like the Anchor Bar from Buffalo here in Hamilton is a bit of a stretch especially now that they've been copied the world over and we have Buffalo Wild Wings, which hands down is my favourite place for wings. So with that in mind, the Hamilton Anchor bar is small, the food is great, from the pizzas, salads, to the wings you won't be disappointed for a lunch meeting. It's tight so a large gathering go somewhere else, with the parking and location take transit or walk. The service is great but seriously for the real Anchor Bar experience get to Buffalo.

Being from Buffalo, I am very familiar with the original Anchor Bar. This one is a near miss. Very friendly staff and good service made up for the not too authentic food. What is described on the menu, is not necessarily what arrives on the plate. For example, a "Beef on Weck" is not chopped beef with mozzarella on a hoagie bun. Describe a Kimmelweck roll to the servers and be prepared for a puzzled stare. I'd understand this in maybe Vancouver, but seriously folks Hamilton is not that far away. However, all in all I would recommend giving it a try fair value at a fair price.

Spiste lunch her i dag på vei fra Toronto til Niagara. Vi bestilte forskjellige porsjons pizzaer som vi delte mellom oss. Det var frossenpizza som ble utstyrt med forskjellig fyll. Helt greit til den prisen. Servitøren var hyggelig og ekspeditt.
