Very friendly staff and food excellent and affordable. Visited with my family at the beginning of December. Had sardines for starters and fish for main. Very recommended.

Decent Portuguese restaurant with very cheap prices and quick service. I had very fresh mussels as a starter ( a big plate) and grilled sardines as the main course. The bill was around 30 eur per person .

This restaurant is on a very popular street in the Portuguese district of Hamburg, lots of tourists and locals alike. However, the food here is, at best, very average and the service is slightly disinterested. One main meal had very few prawns, for what was a reasonably high price. Similarly, this main meal was much, much smaller than the main that my husband selected - the squid dish, which was too large for one person, which seems like bad planning when putting together the menu. The squid dish was also just about reasonable, although lacking seasoning. The food was overall underwhelming, and seemingly lacking in a noticeable enthusiasm from the staff. We had visited last year and found the service, experience and food much more positive. Sorry to say we would not plan to return to O Farol on our next visit to Hamburg.
