Contribuiți la feedbackWe visited this Cafe right after going through the coffee museum, which is in the same building downstairs. They had a good selection of coffee and they let you know the acidity, strength, where it's from, and what kind of roast it is. I like how they give you a tiny french press with your coffee. This way, you have more to drink than just one cup. The cakes were very good also, just a bit pricy. It's nice that you can buy the coffee you drank right after in their store. The atmosphere in the cafe itself was very cozy, comfortable and warm. Especially nice on a rainy, cold day of sightseeing in Hamburg.
This place is just where I want to be, sit and drink a good coffee. It's a full immersion into coffee world with the chance to visit a museum too. Cakes are tasty and portion big for a super convenient price. There is a good selection of coffee, but they make only French press. My suggestion is to offer different preparation, like espresso and let people chose which coffee and how to make it. Overall, my experience was positive and the service was really nice.
Found this restaurant after searching on two separate occasions. The building was previously a warehouse and it retains the look and feel of that history. The fact that it still has the machinery for processing coffee determines the layout of the cafe space. Great coffee and cake are let down slightly by an absurd system of queuing for drinks in one line and cake/meals in another. We had our cakes for ages before we received our coffee and tea. The barista (yes just the one) was working non stop trying to keep up with the orders but it was a ‘finger in the hole in the dyke’ scenario, he had no chance of keeping pace with the orders. Taking the bad organisation out of the equation this place is worth the visit, the food is delicious.
The store looks inconspicuous from the outside, but inside it is really nice and cozy. There are no 20 varieties to choose, but a very good and different offer. Even for coffee drinkers like me it tasted here. The staff is very friendly and has sold coffee and the seller even gave a short coffee history lessons.
A wonderful place to taste delicious coffee!
