Golden Fleece - Hambleton

What a charming place! The hotel is historic but comfortable. Lovely bar and reception rooms and the restaurant was great. We had dinner and breakfast there. Dinner was ok but breakfast was fantastic. Our room was comfortable and welcoming. Sadly the mattress on the bed was saggy and made for a rough night. Be aware you may have to climb several flights of stairs. Rooms: 4

Stopped in for lunch at this lovely town centre hotel. We enjoyed a delicious meal, some cracking real ale and very friendly service. Definitely worth a visit. Service: 5 Location: 5

Just returned home after a 2 night stay at the Golden Fleece If you like Oldy worldy then this place ticks all the boxes,quirky and unique perfect central location with a great outside seating area Food is excellent Staff are polite and friendly Squeaky floorboards in the rooms however this building is over 300 years old but this adds to the nostalgia of the hotel and the area it’s located in Brilliant stay Highly recommended Matt Tracey from chesterfield xx
