Schlotzsky's - Haltom City

Food always good, service was terrible, and the staff was very rude.

We placed an order online and after picking it up and getting home we realized the chips and drink were missing. We called up to the store and the guy on the phone said “we close in 5 minutes and our registers are already shut down. You can just come up here and get them.” this was at 6:55 on a Friday night. Seeing as we couldn’t be there in 5 minutes and there was apparently no way of refunding us, this left us with no resolution. I got on their website to relay what had happened and the owner emailed me the next day and said we could present said email for a replacement chips and drink. The chips and drink were $3.30. What am I going to do with a random drink and chips after the fact? The point was our dinner experience was ruined. We were exhausted and had numerous places we could have picked up food from that night, but we chose that restaurant to spend our money. Not to mention the bottom of the bread of my sandwich was wet like it had been sitting on something damp. We have frequented this store numerous times over the years, but we will not be coming back for our replacement chips and drink because that is not a good enough resolution.

The cashier didn't even know how to give change and did not recognize a nickel. I am absolutely serious. I had to tell her what coins to hand me for change! She barely spoke English and I am amazed that she got the job in the first place except maybe for some reasons of fairness and extending equal opportunities where people just, quite frankly, aren't qualified.

Good sandwich. It was the first time I went there. For the price I would expect a little bit more meat but the sandwich was tasty.

The staff and food here is amazing everytime. Highly recommend this location.
