Dixie House Cafe Corporate

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant due to the staff's lack of professionalism. Stacey, in particular, was rude and unsympathetic. When a food allergy mistake made by her staff resulted in my family member being hospitalized, she wouldn't even offer an apology. Instead, she responded with insensitive comments like, “If there was a food allergy, my family would have had the correct supplies,” and “My staff was never informed about any food allergy.” It felt as though she believed I was trying to get something for free, when all I wanted was accountability and an apology. She also refused to provide me with names of anyone from the corporate office. Overall, Stacey is not the competent manager she claims to be.

The Dixie House is exactly what it claims to be: a café that offers consistently delicious food at affordable prices. It serves classic comfort food on cafeteria-style plastic plates (the chicken-fried steak takes up the entire plate!) and your order arrives just minutes after you place it. If you’re expecting fancy dishes like veal pâté with balsamic demi-glace, you’ll be let down. However, if you’re in the mood for simple American classics that remind you of your grandma’s cooking, then grab a seat and come hungry!

Terrible dining experience! Sheila was completely unprofessional. I witnessed her speaking inappropriately in front of Hispanic customers, claiming she couldn’t understand them. To make matters worse, she added an extra $5 charge to my $35 meal—presumably for herself. When I called to inquire about it, she became aggressive and insisted that the company adds additional fees for credit card payments. I won't be returning, and I'll be sure to warn others about this location on Lancaster in Fort Worth, TX.

This used to be a good place for Chicken Fried Steak and similar items, but in my opinion the food quality has gone downhill in those areas. Service and management is lacking as well. The burgers and the dixie fries are still good (probably because theyhave to make those fresh), but the daily plate specials have suffered. Today I had the Chicken Fried Steak plate and both thefood and the service was cold. No wait staff followed up at our table, and no management asked how the meal was. This is comingfrom someone who has been a regular there for over 10 years and is used to better quality of food and service there. This placeneeds to improve to get my business back.

Long time Dixie house fan.last time we ate there our ticket was 30.00 with no deseart to much for lunch. May not return . Very disapointed.
