The Quarry Tap Room - Hallowell

I was in the QTR a number of times over the years and the food is always excellent. Today we took our pup and sat outside in beautiful weather. Not only was the food excellent, once again, but the staff was simply amazing. Our pup was served a fresh bowl of water before we even sat down and several employees took time to meet him. Super friendly people at QTR and a wonderful place to get great food and a great beer selection. I can't wait to go back!

I have a table outside. Great atmosphere and many beer selection. Lisa did a great job and I definitely came back.

They were busy when we left. Waiting wasn't long, and we got a beer and drank it outside while we waited. The waitress was nice. Many people help in the background what was beautiful. Could have been more customer service help instead of just moving table help. Eating was long and order a beer half through it. This is the biggest complaint I have is so much time to get everything. The food was good. Good size for the price. Spinach/Artichoke Dip was delicious and huge portion, could easily serve as an appetizer for 6. Rueben was delicious. Perfect meat-bread ratio. Fish was well cooked for fish and chips. Pizza was fine, but the person who ordered it thought it was very delicious. Salt and vinegars have only popcorn salt and vinegar taste in them and it was DUMPED in piles on them. You should really think about making them homemade and not just artificial spices.

We're going Fridays. Laura always makes it an epic time! Good food, beer, staff and environment. If you don't go, it'll be easier for us to get a table?

This place is awesome! They have a huge tap line (24? focused on local breweries and the food is just great. They have a unique tribute to the kitchen staff on the menu which I love. Hallowell is well known from far away as a great spot for music and The Quarry Tap Room is at the heart of it. Here's a picture of the beautiful river behind it!
