The Wooden Monkey - Halifax

I love restaurants that focus on local foods and community. The atmosphere inside was really warm and welcoming, perfect for chatting with friends. The food portions are perfectly sized, didn't feel hungry but wasn't overstuffed. I really liked the vegetarian special, which was a curry. The blueberry pie dessert was my favourite dish!

We had a very nice experience here! The waitress was very accommodating with my order, as I wanted a salad and salmon, and she offered me the combo so I could have both. The salmon was delicious and perfectly cooked. The caser kale salad was tasty and well dressed. Prices were good as well.

My favorite place to have cocktails with the girls. This swanky gem has great live music and fabulous drinks. When I get to the food, I will let you know. What is coming out of the kitchen is eye candy for the viewing. Enjoy.

Fantastic 8 course meal last night by Chef Dolente Chef Gray in the newly renovated Carleton restaurant. Great food Bar Music.

We thoroughly enjoyed seeing Steve Poltz perform last evening at The Carleton top notch entertainment, venue and delicious eats too! I highly recommend the pea risotto!
