The Five Fishermen - Halifax

We are currently in Halifax and stumbled upon Five Fishermen, which had excellent reviews, so we decided to have dinner there. It turned out to be a fantastic choice! The restaurant is located in the heart of Halifax and is very clean and inviting.

I made a reservation, but there was also seating available if you don't mind being outside the main dining room. However, the main dining room was quite warm and uncomfortable.

The lamb was amazing! It was absolutely delicious, and the vegetables were cooked to perfection. I enjoyed every bite. We even received a complimentary dessert, which was such a lovely way to conclude a fantastic meal.

We booked an early table for 5pm so we coukd go to the Art gallery of Nova Scotia after dinner. There were other early diners and a nice ambience. We have been here once before, about a year ago and enjoyed it. After a friendly greeting we were taken uostairs to our table. The service was excellent and so friendly. We shared the crab cakes starter...delicious. i had the shrimp tagliatelle and my wofe the chicken and corn and bith mains were well oresented snd tasted great. There was a choice of 3 deserts and pur choices were aldo lovely. Overall we had a fantastic time in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. I have seen some reviews discussing dress code. Althoigh we were smart casual there were diners in t dhirts and non-dress jeans with no issues so i eoukd guess just chill and wear ehats cpmfortable for you.

Wonderful food! Wonderful selection! Awesome service! Huge shout out to our server Laura, she made our experience extra incredible. Would absolutely recommend this restaurant.
