Sea Smoke Restaurant Bar - Halifax

The food was amazing, and the view of the harbor is breathtaking!

I recently had my first dining experience at Sea Smoke, and it was delightful to sit outside and enjoy the ambiance. The evening was beautiful, and the fire table added a nice touch to the atmosphere. The food was excellent, and we both really enjoyed our meals. However, the service was rather slow, which took away from the overall experience. We noticed that other diners were expressing similar concerns, so it might have been a staffing issue. While the servers were friendly, they appeared somewhat disorganized. Despite this, I’m definitely willing to return to the restaurant because of the fantastic food.

Fantastic outdoor dining by the sea! While the prices are on the higher side, the quality of the food makes it worthwhile. The service is impeccable and the decor is charming. The talented chefs prepare sushi that is absolutely incredible, and the chowder is a standout dish as well. There are plenty of gluten-free options available too. Plus, you can enjoy a fire on the outdoor tables, which is wonderful for chilly evenings or just for a bit of fun! This place is definitely a must-try!

I had an incredible experience at this restaurant. We ordered the surf and turf, and it was outstanding. The scallops appetizer was equally impressive, and the oysters were a real treat. The atmosphere was lovely, especially dining on the patio with a beautiful view of the water, all while a small table fire kept us cozy. The service was both friendly and efficient. It may seem a bit unusual, but the candle-lit bathrooms added a surprisingly delightful touch to our visit. Honestly, I couldn't find anything to criticize, nor would I want to. It was the perfect dinner!

The food was excellent, and the atmosphere was wonderful. However, the service left much to be desired. I would definitely return, but I would hope to have a different server next time.
