Jack Astor's Bar and Grill - Halifax

Yesterday, Sister Sarah and I enjoyed lunch at Jack Astor's. I ordered the Chicken Parmigiana, which came with breaded chicken, tomato sauce, smoked mozzarella, linguine, and a creamy sauce.

We all had excellent meals, one steak meal & 2 steak fajitas. Both were excellent. The fajita steak was tender and juicy and came with large chunks which still fit nicely into the taco shell. One person had a Fishbowl strawberry, mint drink which was huge! Ask for less ice though! The restaurant was full and noisy due to TVs everywhere, people talking and music blaring. I would go back for the food, but not the noise.

I visited last night and 3 of us ordered their "famous" chicken strips. They where dry and burnt and we didn't eat more than a bite. My son got the chicken strip sandwich... again disgusting. My husband fish and chips... yep disgusting and burnt. Waitress commented on our unate meals but no sign of a manager or offer of a refund or different meal.
