Cosy Snack Bar - Halifax

Mediocre breakfast. Has all the signs of a greasy spoon, but maybe a little too much grease. Processed cheese on the grilled cheese. Over cooked eggs. Looks like a local favourite based on the consistent customers. But the food quality didn't match the hype.

Best Ma & Pa operation in Halifax. The owners cook and serve the food, so they care. It's a small hole in the wall on the corner of Liverpool and Oxford that welcomes everyone with a warm smile. The food is always fresh and the portions are very generous. All the meals are good but the breakfasts are the best. It's always good to get what you pay for but you do a little better than that here. This my preferred stop when I'm in the area.

Love this little place on Liverpool Street ..by far the best grilled haddock in town .Love the coffee and breakfast is yummy. Jamilee and Tony are fun and engaging . The best prices in town for any dish you order. I have been going there since I moved to Halifax in 2002.

A small but clean and tidy place, only perhaps 3 or 4 tables and booths. They serve all day breakfast, as well as lunch and suppers. Prices are moderate. For $8.50 I had 2 eggs over easy 3 sausages, potatoes and 2 slices of whole wheat bread, with peanut butter and jam. The food was all tasty and well-prepared. Service was rapid and coffee cups were kept filled. Newspapers were available for patrons, and several patrons appeared to be regulars.

No matter what you order it will be fresh, great tasting and lots. Tony and Jameli the owners are friendly and want to please. many daily specials and great fish and chips.
