Shibden Park - Halifax

Park Café offers a few vegan options, and we enjoyed the vegan meatball paninis with chips for £7.50. While the menu is basic, we were pleased to find a vegan option in the park. There was a sign indicating that vegan cake and soy milk were also available, though we didn't try those. The café features a bright room with a lovely view of Shibden Park.

I tried to give this place a five-star rating, but since it doesn’t have a fully vegan option, I couldn’t! However, I had an amazing meatball sub with a side of chips, and let me tell you, it was to die for! The bread was fresh and warm, the meatballs were perfectly seasoned, and the marinara sauce had lovely chunky pieces of tomato in it. To top it all off, there was a generous sprinkle of melted vegan cheese. I’m not exaggerating—this was fantastic! I didn’t get a chance to try the cake because I was focused on that hearty sub, but the staff were really accommodating with my dietary requirements, so I'm sure they have great options. If you're walking around Shibden Park, I highly recommend stopping by for a bite!

I tried to give this place 5 stars but as it is not fully 'vegan ' I couldn 't! However I got an AMAZING meatball sub with a side of chips and let me tell you now that s was to die for!!! The bread was fresh and warm, the meatballs were perfectly seasoned, the marinara sauce had nice chunky bits of tomato and onion in it and then to top it all off (literally) there was a deliciously generous sprinkling of melted vegan cheese. I 'm literally drooling writing this! I didn 't really get chance to check out the cakes as my heart was set on savoury but all the staff were helpful with my dietary requirements so I 'm sure they wouldn 't mind finding out anything. If you 're on a walk round shibden park I highly recommend stopping for a bite
