I had the fishcake nicoise with kartoffels and my daughter had the hot roast beef sandwich with side. they were both absolutely delicious and the ingredients were fresh and delicious. also the salad and the dressur were delicious and plentiful. free alcohol-free drinks, then a large hot cappuccino with biscuit, as I like it and a delicious heavenly cheesecake. we were blown away! excellent value for money. beautiful environment and very helpful and friendly staff. I think the best lunch in halifax is. well made for all affected
Cheap £3 lunch menu, great food! Closed at the moment, looks like refurbishment or maybe takeover.
Excellent choice of food and drinks and not overpriced. Not too many there at lunchtime but I'm sure business will improve soon. Centre of town. Staff very helpful. Will definitely return
I dined here on Tuesday, and it was surprisingly quiet for 7:30 PM with just us and another group present. The music felt more like a club atmosphere rather than mere background tunes, yet it was at a volume that still allowed for easy conversation. The menu offered some intriguing options, and while the drinks were enjoyable, I was disappointed that there were no olives for my martini. Minor details gave off a subdued vibe, but overall, it was a decent experience. The Kimchi butter was tasty, although there were some burnt bits mixed in. The chicken burger, unfortunately, leaned more towards soggy than the crispy texture you expect from fried chicken. However, the sauce was excellent, and the fries were nice as well. The staff were friendly and professional, and while the prices were slightly on the higher side, they felt reasonable given the quality of the food. I plan to return to give this place another shot, as I believe one visit isn't enough to fully assess it. I will update this review after my next visit.
Unbelievable! Their brand new £3 express lunch deal is an incredible value. We enjoyed a foot-long meatball sub and a hot fried sandwich with chips, and then topped it off with two sticky toffee puddings, which were delightful. It was a feast! Just £3 for the main items (including a soft drink), £1 for one side, and £1.50 for dessert!
