The sausages were delicious. They had a policy of not allowing photographs, which I completely respect. I recommend that everyone else does too. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant.
I brought some very authentic garlic and red wine sticks. They were delicious, tasty, and chewy. The lady behind the counter was helpful with some cheese suggestions, and they had good mustard options. I had one for lunch, exactly what I wanted on fresh bread with tomato!
The lady behind counter was rude when I took a photo of a chilli sausage, abruptly asked me to delete it immediately. Not a pleasant experience and I immediately left as felt uncomfortable with her looking at me. Pity because I was going to purchase the sausage.
Absolutely disturbing. Overpriced to capture well meaning tourists who visit to support. Extremely rude and aggressive staff. Do not enter unless you are willing to be financially taken advantage of or…. You are happy to put up with unkind aggression. Spend your money elsewhere there are actually some stores that value tourist support. Better still bypass this town and head to Stirling instead.
We were thrilled to find Milka chocolate at this restaurant, as it can be hard to find in New Zealand. I wanted to take a photo to ask my daughters what flavor they would like, but before I could even raise my phone, an elderly woman (presumably the owner) quickly approached me and demanded that I put my phone away. She pointed to a sign (that I had not noticed) stating that photos were not allowed. I am not sure why this rule is in place, but I wish the owner had taken the time to inquire about my intentions. I would rather purchase my chocolate elsewhere than support a business with such a rude owner.
