Contribuiți la feedbackTo get good British food? This little restaurant nestled in Haddonfield, NJ has all the British favorites you could want. We started our meal with the Mac n' cheese, it was melt in your mouth delicious. Our son had his favorite, Fish n' Chips. He said it's the best he's ever had...crispy, not soggy. My husband tried something he never had before, Bangers n' Mash. It was quite tasty and a definite repeat. I had the Cottage Pie and wasn't disappointed. I am used to the Americanized Shepard's Pie and was delighted to finally try the real thing, which was fantastic. The selection of drinks was true to the food style with beverages from all over the United Kingdom. The waitress was friendly, accommodating, and attentive. The restaurant itself was clean and well decorated.
If you're looking for a taste from over the pond, then you may enjoy a visit to The British Chip Shop in Haddonfield, New Jersey. Simple decor and your English favorites on the menu. I had a take-out order of their large fish and chips. The chips were amazing. Fish was OK.
Sold 100 gift card and then refused to honor claiming they just bought the business and did not establish escrow for gift cards. Asked how that is the customers problem that they did not escrow for gift cards when they bought it and did not care. Charged anyway and said it was customers problem to track down the prior owner. Unreal. Empty on a Friday with no atmosphere. No surprise
We had lunch here the other day. It was my first visit since the change of ownership. It wasn't busy but it was midweek after 1:00 on a cold dreary day. We all got fish chips. Better than on our last visit. The fish was hot, fresh tasting and the batter crisp. Not soggy or greasy, same with the chips. Last time they both were a bit greasy the fish batter soggy. Also the food was now served on a plate instead of a basket. Our waitress did check on us to see if needed refills or anything. My only wish is that they switch to Coke or Pepsi from RC Cola.
