Union Jack Club - Hackney

Fantastic accommodation located in the heart of London. The restaurant is top-notch, the bar is fabulous, and the staff are extremely friendly.

I have visited this restaurant many times while in London and have always had a wonderful experience. The rooms are comfortable, the food is excellent, and the staff are outstanding. During my last visit, I ran into a former colleague from the USA whom I used to serve with, and it felt as though we were still serving together as we caught up over breakfast. This place is truly unique and amazing. We both happen to choose the same weekend to visit, and we both thoroughly enjoy the restaurant and support it whenever we can. We are even planning to stay over Christmas 2024. Thank you to everyone at the restaurant for keeping it running smoothly. We look forward to seeing you all again soon.

I hadn't been to the UJC since the mid-80s, and returning was like a walk down memory lane to my younger days. It was always my go-to place to stay during weekend trips to London. The warm welcome I received was still the best in all of London, truly a home away from home. The facilities were fantastic and the staff always had a smile on their faces. The service was exceptional, putting many 5-star hotels to shame. The same values I remembered from all those years ago were still intact. I am so glad I reconnected with this wonderful place. I met some lovely people and was reminded of what makes service industry professionals so special. Thank you for a fantastic, albeit brief, trip. I will definitely be back soon.

First time of staying overnight, and sad to say it was disappointing. Good bad to report. Firstly the bad, the room was SO hot, but we overlooked that, but not having a decent sleep was our main issue. Room doors banging randomly during the night. Noisy pipework began at around 0600hrs and continued until we finally couldn't take anymore and got up early! Along with the hot room, we just didn't sleep well at all and were both shattered the next day. The good. Cleanliness food. Both were very good. Obviously being veterans, we love all thinks UJC and what it stands for. Unfortunately however, we won't be staying overnight again, but may frequent the restaurant bar. Travel Lodge in comparison is much better for a good night's sleep! Over and out.

Great place to eat drink and stay over night. And it's a great place to meet serving and ex serving members of our proud armed services. I highly recommend the Union Jack club just for that. And it's a great way to say thank you to all those who have served. Sadly I can no longer visit the UJC as the three people I knew that could get me in who were Ex-Army have since passed away. RIP Guys your service to your country and your friendship will never be forgotten.
